New Works, Featured Artists
April 2026, Introducing Josh Nicol-Molitor
"I use stone to make stillness move."
"I’m Joshua Nicol-Molitor, an artist who uses Pounamu and other hard stone as my medium. I am always seeking new ways to find how I can create fluidity and softness out of stone which is known for its rigidity. My work is driven by the tension of what the material is and what it can be pushed to resemble.
"I’m an authenticated carver having worked for Ngai Tahu at WaeWaePounamu. I started out my journey being self-taught, but decided later on to study stone carving at Tai Poutini Polytech."

Ripple Range, featuring prominent ripple texture inspired by the many different ripples found throughout nature.
